Britney Spears' top ten list on Letterman

A bikini-clad Britney Spears appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman on Tuesday night to present the Top 10 list of ways the country would be different if she were president.

8. Free pie for everybody!
7. My situation room would be a cabana at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas.

4. America might have a more coherent fiscal strategy.
3. Challenge U.S. to put a nightclub on the Moon by the end of the decade.

1. Finally the media would pay some attention to me!

Erin Andrews Peephole Video Leaked

If you don’t know who Erin Ansdrews is, let’s just put it this way: she’s the hottest sports reporter of all time.

And lately, rumors have been circulating about an Erin Andrews peephole video. No one knew for sure, but the video showed up on an Internet web page known for voyeuristic video for a few days. Still, no one knew for sure if it was Erin Andrews of ESPN (hotness) fame.

However, the unknown became known when ESPN decided to get involved at a legal level. Clearly, if the video had not been of Erin Andrews, then ESPN would have not needed to get involved. But they sent this letter to the website owners who published the video:

I am the General Counsel of ESPN, Inc. It has come to my attention that you have posted on your site pictures of a young, blonde woman . . . These pictures were obviously taken through a peephole or otherwise in a fashion constituting a trespass/assault on the rights of the woman involved. Your continued posting of these pictures are highly likely to render you an accessory after the fact to a criminal act. We hereby demand that you (i) immediately remove these pictures from your site and (ii) disclose to us the source of the pictures. We intend to hold you fully responsible for further display of material that so obviously violates the law.

Going even fruther, Andrews’ lawyers got into the fray:

“While alone in the privacy of her hotel room, Erin Andrews was surreptitiously videotaped without her knowledge or consent. She was the victim of a crime and is taking action to protect herself and help ensure that others are not similarly violated in the future. Although the perpetrator or perpetrators of this criminal act have not yet been identified, when they are identified she intends to bring both civil and criminal charges against them and against anyone who has published the material. We request respect of Erin’s privacy at this time, while she and her representatives are working with the authorities.”

Because of these legal threats, the Erin Andrews peephole video that was leaked has been taken down. However, some people report still being able to watch it via Google Cache although we were not able to reproduce this effect.

Ugly Betty actress Ashley Jensen pregnant - reports

Annan actress Ashley Jensen is believed to be expecting her first child.

The star, who recently left hit TV show Ugly Betty, has been seen flaunting her bump close to her LA home in recent weeks.

National newspapers have carried rumours of her pregnancy after she was spotted with a “baby bump” while out walking her dog.

The 39-year-old is now based in LA and married to fellow British actor Terrence Beesley.

Earlier in the year Ashley left her role as seamstress Christina McKinney in Ugly Betty after three-and-a-half years on the show – following the birth of her character’s first baby.

The storyline then saw Christina move to her native Scotland with the baby but, in recent interviews, Ashley’s co-star Becki Newton has hinted the former Annan Academy pupil could return to the show.

In the meantime Ashley has joined the new American show Accidentally On Purpose.

It was starring as the socially inept Maggie Jones alongside Ricky Gervais in the BBC Two/HBO comedy series Extras that first catapulted the Scot to fame.

For her work on the first series, she swept the board at the 2005 British Comedy Awards picking up the awards for best television comedy actress and best newcomer.

Her role in the 2007 Extras Christmas special earned her an Emmy nomination.

Her mum, Margaret, still lives in Annan.

Hannah Montana, Mariah Carey hit U.S. singles chart

LOS ANGELES (Billboard) - Hannah Montana edged out Mariah Carey on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart Thursday, as Miley Cyrus' TV alter ego claimed her first top-10 entry.

"He Could Be the One" debuted at No. 10, just above Carey's "Obsessed," which debuted at No. 11. Hannah Montana also logged a No. 87 debut for "Ice Cream Freeze (Let's Chill)."

"Obsessed" marks Carey's 40th entry on the Hot 100, making her just the eighth woman in the chart's 51-year history to make 40 or more appearances. It is also her highest Hot 100 debut since 1998. the track comes from Carey's forthcoming album "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel,"

The Black Eyed Peas led the field for a third week with "I Gotta Feeling." Drake's "Best I Ever Had" rose one place to No. 2, swapping places with the Peas' "Boom Boom Pow." Keri Hilson's "Knock You Down," featuring Kanye West and Ne-Yo, remained at No. 4, and Sean Kingston's "Fire Burning" rose one place to No. 5.

Taylor Swift's "You Belong With Me" jumped three to No. 6, Lady GaGa's "LoveGame" fell two to No. 7, and Pitbull's "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)" held at No. 8. Jeremih's "Birthday Sex" dropped two to No. 9.

Pamela Anderson Prime Minister Vladimir Putin Baby Seals Plea

Pamela Anderson has penned a personal plea to Vladimir Putin asking the Russian Prime Minister to help her ban the slaughter of baby seals in her native Canada.
The world leader was applauded by animal lovers for spearheading a ban on the hunting of young harp seals earlier this year.

“The Canadian government has refused to budge on this issue despite widespread protests and international bans on the trade in baby seal skins. I collected thousands of signatures myself and personally delivered the petition to parliament, to no avail,” Pamela wrote in her letter to Putin.

“You have been quoted as saying that seal hunting is ‘a bloody industry that should have been banned long ago’. Please use your influence with Prime Minister Harper to help us stop the senseless slaughter of baby seals once and for all.”

Kim Kardashian Gets Sunburned — Badly

Kim Kardashian just tweeted, “PLEASE HELP ME! I am so sunburned! I fell asleep with huge glasses on yesterday! This tan line is not ok!!!”
The 28-year-old reality TV star continued on her blog, saying, “I’m in Mexico and I was sunbathing when I fell asleep with my huge Prada butterfly sunglasses on and now look at me! I’m going to have to hide from cameras for days. I usually never get red, I always get dark. It hurts!”
Kim continued, “Everyone here is making fun of me! Look at [my boyfriend Reggie Bush]’s teammate and friend Bobby starting with the jokes. My whole body is burned but my face looks the worst because of the glasses. I will never wear sunglasses when sunbathing again!”

Paris Hilton Starts Sunglasses Line

Paris Hilton is a mega-brand. She already has clothes, she has shoes and she has handbags plus perfume. Sunglasses are the logical next step in expanding the Hilton empire, right?
P. Hilt just blogged a (long and rambling) entry about how she and her kinda-sorta famous boyfriend Doug Reinhardt got into a bloody fight at a club. Her closing thoughts on the battle?
"I flew into New York this morning, I'm about to go to the Eye Wear Convention. I'm launching my new sunglass line. I'm so excited! I love wearing sunglasses and now I have my very own line! Loves it!"
Well, she may not win any prizes for best composed blog entry, but at least she brings us to the point. While we may not care about her man playing rough and tumble with bodyguards in Da' Club, we're definitely interested in seeing what she brings to the table as far as eye-wear is concerned.
